Top 5 New Year's Resolutions
Happy 2018! Sorry I’ve been a bit MIA the past week. I was celebrating the holidays with the family, and I just traveled back to San Francisco to celebrate New Years. Currently, I am hanging out in San Francisco for a couple of days before driving back to my hometown to help out the family. I have probably been thinking about my New Years Resolutions since Christmas Eve. Overall, my resolutions are geared towards an appreciation for myself and my surrounding environment. I get so caught up with everyone else that I forget about myself and what I want. I can prattle on about all my resolutions, but here are my top 5 New Years Resolutions.
Stop Picking My Lashes!
This is one of my annoying habits I have. When I’m stressed out, I typically do this twice as often. It leads me to lose my lashes on the left-hand side of my eye and it looks really awkward in photos. Plus, all the health issues it can lead to when dirty hands touch my eyes. I really want to focus on losing the habit because I want my left eyelashes again.
Keeping My Room Consistently clean
I am not a dirty person, but I know I am not the most organized person. It was extremely embarrassing because one time my friend unexpectedly came to my apartment and my bedroom was an utter mess! I never felt more embarrassed. I promise myself that I want to keep my room organized so I can always be prepared for unexpected visits.
I always think about items I want to purchase or the places I want to visit; however, I never have enough money to travel. I think how can I save more money? One solution is to learn to cook more at home than always ordering take away. I find it so easy to get caught up in the simplicity of ordering food on the go, but then I end up spending so much money that could have gone to trips or clothes.
Improve my morning routine
Already I find my routine pretty decent, but I feel like I could improve it. I get mundane tasks done, but I don’t do any habits that are focus towards my self-improvement. One suggestion my mom always encouraged is meditating. Not only does it help clear your mind, but you start the day with positive energy.
During my break, I read Jen Sincero’s “You Are a Badass: How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life” and not only do I feel so inspired, thank you Jen, but I forgot how much I enjoy leisurely reading.
Although these tasks are small, I feel like they would really improve my personal health. 2018, I also really want to improve my blog and its social media presence. Tell me, what do you want to see from my blog? I don’t want to lose the theme of the blog, but tell me what posts you like or don’t like? Feel free to email me at firstname.lastname@example.org. Have a wonderful 2018.
